Press Release Summary = How do you get vistors to \"click\" on your \"click to call\"
and \"push to talk\" buttons? There are three easy steps to make this happen each and
evry time. New technology requires a different approach - and we know what works.

Press Release Body = We launched the first Australian based \"click to call\" or \"push
to talk\" service in Australia on the 4 th of July 2005. Since this time numerous web
sites and emails have added buttons and icons for people to enter their phone number
so a conversation can progress.
With hundreds of users to watch and observe, we have identified the elements that
make a successful button, one that results in people clicking on them and entering
their phone numbers. In this blog we share our experiences, and those of our
clients, so your activities in the click to call and push to talk environment prove
successful.
Our guidelines are:
1. Click to call and push to talk are new technologies. It is not successful to just
develop or deploy a standard icon. We all know that little icons for email,
telephones and faxes all work BUT there is not enough consumer recognition of click
to call and push to talk for people to understand what is going to happen. At this
stage in the uptake of click to call and push to talk, standard icons will not work.
You need to develop a customised button for each situation.
2. Your button must contain a message containing the following elements.
o A \"call to action\" like \"Press this button\"
o A \"benefit\" like \"Expert advice\"
o A \"statement of when\" like \"We call you within 30 seconds\"
o A \"price\" like \"This is a FREE call\"
3. We find that having some animation to draw attention to the button helps.
Animated gif\'s are better than Flash as they will get through most email software
packages.
Once the person has pressed the button it is important to re-state many of these
same messages again on the pop up, especially the cost - FREE to them. Also what to
do. i.e. Enter your phone number and remember to include your area code etc.
Re-state that the call will occur within 30 seconds and that they will receive
expert advice and personalised service.
In these early days for click to call and push to talk uptake following these
guidelines will get your button pushed and more potential clients on the phone.
